Temple Square/New Years

The last weekend of December we made it up to my parents for our after christmas party. It ended up being a "game night" which turned into a reunion for my little sister and her boyfriend. We were able to attend his homecoming on Sunday which was nice not to have to make another trip up later for it. We also met up with one of my really good friends Alyssa and her family and got caught up. It's been a while since we have seen them so that was nice!

 We didn't make it to the lights this year until the very last weekend! We tried earlier this month with Cody and Kelsea, but we chose the WRONG NIGHT! It was the night of the Motab christmas concert, a jazz game, and everyone and their brother going to the lights! There was NO WHERE to park, we ended up walking around the capitol! It was still a good time. We went to the lights with my family after we all went to dinner at Rodizio Grill!

 Brookie didn't like being all bundled up and her face was cold and she didn't really get a nap in before we left so needless to say, she was kinda onry! We had a good time and ended up not staying at the lights too long, it was pretty cold and Brookie zonked out!

We enjoyed our december! Lot's of fun new memories were made! Our new years this year was super boring. I felt bad, but i'm pretty sure I was asleep WAY before the new year came in! I wasn't feeling that great and being 38 weeks pregnant sleep just sounded good! lol Hope everyone had a great 2012, here is to an awesome 2013! New goals, new baby, and a lot more fun! :)

Christmas 2012

Christmas this year was great! We all got spoiled! We spent christmas again with Joeys parents and Jus and Alyssa! I had to work christmas day so we ended up doing presents and stuff at 1:00 in the morning on christmas so I could get a bit of sleep before I had to go into work.

 Brooklyn loved opening the presents. All of her presents were wrapped in Toy story Wrapping papeer! She knew exactly which presents were hers and she went to town!!

Brooklyn really loves her toys! We got her the little nursery to help a bit with baby sister on the way! She takes such good care of her babies! She even slept with them that night! Joey and I decided we were just going to spoil Brooklyn cause we both didn't need or really want anything. I got Joey tickets to the Miami Heat Vs Jazz game in January! And Joey got me a Treadmill... Obviously I won't be using it until after the baby, but I'm so excited for it!!! :)

December Craftiness

During December we did some crafts, I made this wreath I got the idea on pinterest and it was actually pretty easy to make I think it turned out just like I wanted it to!

 We also made sugar cookies, the turned out really yummy and we all got a bit messy in the process, Brookie really did have a good time making them, she is just a turd when it comes to taking pictures!

Brookie's new favorite thing to do is draw/color. She will take paper out of the printer and bring it to me or Joey and ask for her crayons or a pen! She loves it! She is pretty good at it too!

 Joey found the gun for the Wii and brought it to Joey, he figured it was the perfect opportinuty to teach her about hunting! She liked it for a couple of rounds and then was done. Maybe still a bit young to start hunting but one day i'm sure she will be all over it just like her dad!

They are sure fun to watch together! I just can't believe how fast she is growing up and all the things that she is learning! We love her so much and can't wait for her sister to join our crazy clan!

Helper Light Parade

This year we thought we would try out the Helper light parade! It was SOOOO Cold!!!! We ended up not staying for the full thing, the wind was blowing and it was starting to snow, so we got out of there! Brooklyn loved the lights though until she got cold! It was a fun little parade, we probably won't go again though unless there is better weather!

Clean Ears and a big help!

Seems like every post is about Brookie lately, but I'll speak for myself and say that she is the most entertainment at our house! She is such a big help lately. She gets her diapers, throws things away (when asked) Brushes her teeth, helps make dinner, and as of recently, cleans her ears after bath time. She is going to be a good big sister!

and finally enough hair for a cute little spout! :) 

Friday Joey went to Monticello with his dad and little brother to go hiking. Me and Brookie stayed home and thanks to nesting... cleaned the house! Brookie was such a big help... She helped me scrub bathtubs and clean toilets and dust, and repaper the inside or the kitchen drawers, and probably her most favorite... fold the laundry. We had such a productive day! It's nice having helping hands, even though sometimes it takes twice as long cause the water didn't stay in the bathtub! :)

I went to the baby doctor on Friday. Baby is measuring great, my weight gain is great and her heart beat was 120-130 bpm. She is a little wiggle wort and kept kicking the doctor and bumping him off! She is head down, which is great! Hopefully she stays that way. I'm 32 weeks along and we have 7 weeks left! Time is going sooo fast! It seems like I just yesterday I found out I was pregnant again but i'll take it!! I'll try to get a picture this week....

I think that is pretty much all that is going on right now in our lives. We are looking forward to the holiday season and the many Joys that come with it!!  

Oh Christmas Tree!

Well we did it. We set up the Christmas Tree before December! Which is brave considering Brookie.... and the curious little thing she is! We tried to get a cute picture of her in the lights like we did last year... but she was too interested in playing with them and trying to put them on the tree!

 One of her favorite things to do is to go up to the tree and smell it... even though it's fake... She must like the artificial smell! :) and she will kiss the Ornaments! Of course before taking them off the tree to replace them in a new location... She sure is cute!

Can't wait for her to open presents this year!!  

Thanksgiving!

For Thanksgiving this year we went to Idaho with my family. We all must have been having too good of a time, cause the picture below is the only one I could find to steal. Looking back now I wish I would have taken more! It's always a good time spending time with Family! It's been 2 years since we have been to Idaho, so it was a new trip for sweet Brookie and she did such a great job!!

We were up there for 4 days! Thanks to my Aunt Laree and Uncle Randy who let us stay at their Beautiful house! It was fun just to sit around and talk and watch Brookie play with my cousins! They just loved her to pieces! I hardly ever saw her cause they would just come get her and play with her! She loved having kids to play with!

It was nice just sitting with my siblings and talking, it rarely happens anymore and it was a good time. Thanks everyone for the awesome food (which I was eating NON STOP all weekend!) and for the good time! Can't wait until we get to be all together again! :)

First time teaching

Today I taught my first lesson in Relief Society! It went great! Brookie went to Nursery for her first time and as far as I can tell loved it! She ran right into the toy closet when they opened it and it was easy for me to sneak out, we'll see how she does in the weeks to come! It made me a bit sad, she is growing up way to fast! I wanted to cry a little but I was so happy that she loved it that it made me happy! :)

PS I LOVE having Sundays off!! What a great way to start the work week! and spending time with my little family is such a delight! So Happy!

Big Girl Bed

A while ago we got Brookie a big girl bed, when we first got it, she climbed on it for a minute thought it was cool and then wanted nothing to do with it. So I added a pillow and would play toys with her on it, but she still wouldn't sit on it for very long. The other day I walked down the hall and she was sitting on her bed with her Blanket reading! It was so cute! Now she will climb on it and play toys while sitting on it and she is definately used to it, Which was the whole idea before we move the crib out!

I keep looking at her each day and she is just getting so big! She has so much personalitiy and is learning new stuff every day! The words she has picked up on and the way she knows what she wants and thats that is just amazing! She is a sweetheart! It's fun watching her grow, I just wish time would slow down a little bit!

4 months to 18 months...

So in the first picture below Brookie is 4 months old.... the skirt she has on is 12 months, shirt 18 months, sweater 18 months.... So the outfit was a little big on her... but I was desperate for an outfit for pictures! You know how it goes!

In the picture above, Brookie is 17 months old... Last time wearing the skirt... shirt finally fits... along with the sweater.... It just goes to show how grown up she is now! What a Cutie

Brookie Funnies

I came accross these pictures on our phones the other day and couldn't not post them and share the stories! our little Brookie is a silly goose! Here are some good stories to share...

We heard some whimpering coming from the front room and I walked in there and I didn't see Brookie anywhere, but I heard the Whimpering again, so I walked over to her toy box and found this.... She was stuck and couldn't get out... so of course I had to take a picture before I helped her out! lol

 I was filling up Brookies bath tub and left to grab a wash cloth really quick, next thing I know I hear crying... Brookie had fallen in the bathtub... full clothes.... trying to get her toys. Luckily I had just turned the water on so there wasn't that much! Silly goose! Trying to get the clothes off of her was a bit of a challenge at first! haha but we managed and she thought it was funny after a minute! Needless to say, I always make sure we have a wash cloth before we start filling the tub up!

 Brooklyn LOVES apples! She will get an apple out of the fridge hand it to me to take the starting bit, and then I usually get it back when she is at the core. One day she got her apple and was laying on the floor eating it and licking it like she was a dog! The things this kid comes up with just cracks me up! I'm always laughing and running for the camrea! Love this little girl!

 Last but not least, the way she sleeps lately.... she usually ends up the the corner of her crib! squished to the side! You never know where she is going to be or what you might find in the morning when you go in to wake her up! She is such a cutie! We love her so much and the joy that she brings us!! :)



Halloween!

They weren't kidding when they say kids make the Holidays more fun! It's the truth, last year Brookie didn't really know much about holidays. This year.... she gets into them. Makes me excited for Christmas!! :) She was the cutest little Bumble Bee this year! and a master at trick or treating! After we got home from the Trunk or treat we handed out candy for a bit and then took her to 4 houses in our neighborhood. At those 4 houses alone, she got 25 pieces of Candy.... if that doesn't say how good she was at it IDK what does! :)

 Not only was she good at getting candy, she was so cute at passing the candy out and giving everyone lots! she did such a good job!

  Every now and again she would sneak downstairs to try to get a piece of candy...... She was super quiet and we found her like this.... Tootsie roll in mouth (bit taken out and paper eaten) and two handfulls! Needless to say, she had plenty of tootsie rolls that night!

(Mother like Daughter I guess... See the chunck bitten out of the one in my mouth? Silly girl!)
