Shoe Shopping

Let's just say I'm starting her young! lol Brookie only has 1 pair of shoes that fit her so we went shoe shopping, Payless was having their BOGO sale so we took advantage of it! Brooklyn LOVED pulling all the sparkling shoes out of the boxes while I was trying to look at shoes! She was in shoe heaven and she wanted to try every pair of them on. She would walk to the mirror and go OHH in the mirror... I think she might have a bit of a shoe fedish already! YIKES! But they sure are cute!

 This is the pair we eneded up getting for her! I figured with winter right around the corner why not! I'm sure we'll be back for more shoes in the near future! I ended up getting a new pair of work shoes for myself as well. I've been wearing the same shoes since 10th grade... they were a bit beaten up, but they are so comfy and broken in, I just couldn't stop wearing them! I bought new ones and threw them out so I wouldn't be tempted!

4 Year Anniversary!!

Our actual anniversary was on a Wednesday... I had to work and Joey had a really big project to finish before we left town. We ended up finishing Joey's project at about 3:30 AM. We went to bed and Joey told me were were leaving at 8 AM for our destination... all I knew was Moab... I was excited cause i've never been, but worried cause I know lots of things to do in Moab are really physical and super adventurous... normally i'd be up for that but being 22 Weeks pregnant I was a bit worried.... We ended up sleeping until about 8:30 and not leaving until 9:30. Here is Brookie trying to have the breakfast of a campion.... Fruit snacks.... I took them away! LOL  

 Everything had been arranged that Brookie would go with Uncle Justin and Aunt Alyssa and Uncle Troy and Aunt Loretta until Grandma Bernard got off work. She spent the night there and then played with Uncle Justin and Aunt Alyssa again.... Thanks guys for watching her for us! Joey and I got to Moab at about 12:30 and couldn't check into our hotel until 3... We shopped some stores on main street and then went to lunch at ZAKs an all you can eat pizza, soup, and salad place! it was really good! We then made the drive to our hotel! it's calls the Red River Lodge. It was soo pretty! It's about 20 miles away from down town Moab and it was really nice. We got checked in and went to the pool/hot tub! It was nice to be able to relax after having a really busy stressful week! Here are pictures of our hotel room... It had a nice little kitchen area and a priviate patio with the Colorado river flowing behind! (I took the pictures at 5:30 AM so you can't really see the river)

After we spent some time at the pool we went back to the hotel room and took a nap, we were both exhausted! We had dinner reservations at the hotel resturant at 8:30 and woke up at 8. We hurried and got ready and then went to dinner... My gosh, it was the best food ever, I could have been really hungry, but I had steak and it melted in my mouth! I couldn't believe it, but we both ate EVERYTHING on our plates and Yummy Cheese cake!! It was excellent! Joey finally told me at dinner what we were going to be doing the next day cause we had to leave our hotel room at 6:00AM and I wasn't about to get up that early on my day off without knowing what it was!! At first I didn't believe him... But I knew he wouldn't make something like this up.... So I got up and we left at 6 and arrived here......

 Thats right... we went on a HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE!!!! It was AMAZING!!! The weather was perfect, the view was amazing, and It was definately a once in a life time experience!!! I'll never forget it!! here are some pictures from our flight across Moab!! :)

 We dipped into some of the Canyons and you could see the shadow of the balloon! It was really cool! Felt like we could reach out and touch the rock!

 At the end of the ride we had to stay in the basket until the balloon started coming down! It was soo cool to see the set up and take down of the balloon! It was such a neat experience! I'd recommend it to ANYONE!!!!

Thanks Joey for the perfect celebration of our 4 years together!! You did great and surprised the heck out of me!!! It was just what we needed!!! Thank you for 4 great years, a sweet little angel, and another one to come!! Your the best husband and daddy ever!! I love you soo much!!! Thanks for always being there for me and our little family! Here is to Many Many more years! Love you to the moon and Back! MWAH!

Brookie Sue

Just a little update on the little Monster... Brookie is now in a forward facing car seat and LOVES it!!! Any time we are in the car within 5 minutes she falls asleep! (must be my baby)

 She loves to feed herself now!! She will hardly eat any other way!

 `She is now a walking machine! She was able to walk at 13 months but just didn't want to... She finally decided that it is a lot faster than crawling!! She is into EVERYTHING!!! But that is expected! I'm just glad that she is exploring things and learning so much!!

She got an apple I had set on the counter that I was going to eat and well... She ended up eating the whole thing! Skin and all! Love my Fruit and veggie monster! She has this plastic crown that she refuses to wear on her head, instead she wears it as a necklas! It's so cute when she has it on!

Car, Walks, you name it motion puts this baby to sleep!! and she is soo cute when she is asleep!! Love this baby girl! She is the best thing ever!! It's hard to get mad at her when she is into things she shouldn't be! She is a big helpper and is always learning something new! Like where her diapers are and when to get them for mom and dad, how to close the fridge, and pick up her toys! She is an angel and we are so blessed!



HAIR

Brookie's hair has been growing in quite a bit, it's really blond so hard to tell there is much.... One day I decided I was going to see if there was enough to put in a little fountain on top of her head.... It was a bit hard, but this is how it turned out.... The back part of her hair definately grew in faster than the front! Still looks cute though!

 Last time we were at my Parents I had Janeal Trim it up a bit in hopes that it will start growing more and a bit more even! She didn't like it all the much, but as long as we had fruit snacks for her she sat still and allowed Janeal to work her magic! :) Thanks Janeal looks tons better!

Baby #2

Well the news is out... Baby number 2 is on her way... thats right Another girl!! We are soo excited to welcome another sweet little angel into our Family! :) Joey is feeling a bit out numbered, but he is excited for another girl! Brookie I don't think knows quite what is going on, but I will ask her to kiss the baby and point to my tummy and she will kiss my tummy! It's really cute and I'm sure she knows more than I think so does! It'll be an adjustment for her, they will be about 19 months apart! Baby sister is Due Jan 23!!

Shadow

Meet Shadow... This cat showed up on our front porch one day and wouldn't leave We gave him 2 weeks and since he stuck around we went and got him some food... Guess he is ours now... for the time being... We'll see what happens! Brookie LOVES HIM!!! she will sit and pet him and watch him eat! It's really cute and he is a good kitty! We are pretty sure that he was someones inside cat, but we won't let him in! Don't want to mess with that!

Garden Monster

I just came across these pictures on my phone and decided they needed to go on the blog! One thing that Brookie has LOVED about this summer is the Garden! She would go out and help pick everything! She got sooo excited any time we would get tomatoes or raspberries! the Raspberries are her favorite she would sit with the bowl and eat them just as fast as joey could pick them! Or once we'd get a bowl she would eat them all in one sitting!

 She got a hold of a cucumber and started eating it!! She got SO mad at me when I took it from her! She loves her frutis and vegetables, which I'm so glad that she does! I'd rather her eat them then a bunch of treats and candy! I love my baby girl! She definately keeps us smiling!
