CHRISTMAS 2011

Not going to lie, christmas is a lot more fun with a baby! She LOVED opening her presents! and everyone elses to! it was a good first christmas for her, she got a couple new toys, ones that make music and are more interactive!

I surprised Joey with this Ice Fishing tent! He was soooo excited cause I kept telling him no, no, no or not right now maybe next year. Then I got it for him! He is looking forward to using it! I love you Joey! Glad I was finally able to surprise you!

Joey surpirsed me with an awesome popcorn popper!! I love popcorn! and now we can have movie theater popcorn when ever we want!!! YAY!!!!

It was a great christmas as usual! We had an enjoyable time visiting with family, eating good food, and a bunch of popcorn! :) We hope it was a good one for all of you too! :D

Christmas with the Harris Family :)

We went up to my parents house the weekend before christmas. We were going to spend christmas with them this year but Joey ended up having to work, so hopefully next year! We all had a good dinner together and then opened our family presents. We rotate each year and this year Jenna had us! She got Brooklyn a round stackable toy and she loves it! and Joey and I got a Gift card to the Olive Garden our favorite place to go when we go up to visit! Thanks Jen Jen!!

My mom gave the grandkids new Pajamas and a stuffed animal and a book, every night now we read the book to Brooklyn, and if we don't she won't go to sleep! Brookie got pretty spoiled! Ryan, Lanae, Nathan, Ruthie and Garrett got her a new book also and some super cute leggings! Thanks everyone!!

We sure do love spending time with our family! after we opened presents, we all bundled up and headed down to temple square to see the lights! It was pretty chilly and Brooklyn didn't last very long, but it was her fiirst time being close to the temple and when she first saw it she couldn't take her eye's off of it! It was sooo cute! And of course my camera was dead!!! So Thanks Jenna for the pictures! I love the tradition of temple square! The lights are always soooo pretty, the nativity is a great reminder of the true reason for the season and it's a good reason to bundle up and spend time with family! Definately something we look forward to every year!

(we went to the eye doctor earlier this morning and because of my wonderfull dry eyes I got grounded to my glasses)

Brookie was sooo cute all bundled up taking in all the lights! Experiencing the firsts with her is so much fun!

Brookie and Grandpa fell asleep on the couch together!! SO CUTE!!!! It's always a fun time seeing my family! It only happens about once a month, and goes too fast, but we still manage to have a good time! :) Thanks Family for a good time!!

6 Month Stats

Brookie is now 6 months old, she has been alive for half a year, where the heck has time gone?!?! She is such a sweet sweet baby! We love her soooo much and she is sooo happy and such a good baby She is still eating like a mad women! She loovvves her food!! She is starting to take interest in the food that we eat! She has mastered rolling, and sitting up and she is starting to take interest in Crawling! I have mixed feelings about the being able to get around on her own! Going to have to baby proof the place now!!! :) She continues to be a delight and watching her continual growth and development of her personality and her discovering new things is amazing to me! and sooo rewarding! We love you Brookie Sue!!

It's beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

The christmas tree is up and the shopping is half way done (thanks to black Friday!) We have listened to christmas music a ton, made cookies, and have just enjoyed this time of year! Brooklyn wasn't sure what to think of the tree when we first set it up, but she sure loves the lights. At night when it is dark we turn off all the light and plug in the tree and she just sits and stares at it! She loved eating the lights before we put them on the tree! She has tried to pull the tree over 3 times!! I can tell already that christmas morning is going to be SOO MUCH FUN!!!

WE CAN'T WAIT!!! But there is still so much to do before then! Gotta go see grandma and grandpa Harris, make a bunch more cookies, finish christmas shopping and just relax and enjoy this time together! Hope they holidays are good to you all! Just Our Luck

Well shortly before Thanksgiving our computer crashed.... yep hard drive AGAIN.... seriously it is just our luck! Fortunately for us Bryan was able to make it work!! YAY! (thanks Bryan!) hense the reason for the MASS BLOG UPDATE!!! it needed it! So to our reader... if there are any... ENJOY!! I'll for sure try to keep it up to date now!

Uncle Bob

Joey's Uncle Bob passed away the day after Thanksgiving. It was a hard thing but also a good thing. Uncle Bob is no longer suffering. He will be missed! But is in a much better place now and we will see him again!

2011 Thanksgiving

This year we spent Thanksgiving at Joey's parents. Unfortunately I didn't take my camera and didn't take any pictures with my phone! Jason and Staci where there and Grandma and Grandpa Naylor and Sarah (Joey's Cousin) and Chris and Ashlie! It was a good time! We ate so much food! After we ate Joey and Jason went shooting with the 22 and got em a fox!! It was my first time seeing a fox up close! They are so soft!! We had a great time and are so thankful for su much! This year has been so full of blessings!!

The week before Thanksgiving I got a new position at work... I'm now Supervisor over the CaptionCall department Instead of the IPRelay. I love it!! I guess after being at the same job for 2 years a bit of a change is a good thing! My schedule changed to Tuesday thru saturday. But at the beginning of the year I'm changing back to Sunday thru Thursday. change is a good thing!! Hopefully everyone had a great thanksgiving!

5 Months

 The big 5 months! Oh I just love this little girl so much! She is such a sweetheart!! She is babbling and singing SOOO Much!!! Everytime we get in the car she thinks it's singing time!! She has a smile that can brighten any day! She rolls over all the time! She loves her toys and her daddy! He makes her giggle soooo much!

 She is Trying to sit up by herself! If she has a little bit of support she does really well but isn't quite there by herself yet! She is still eating rice ceral and Oatmeal. She LOVES Squash, sweet potatoes, applesauce, pears and banana's! She is a food monster! She loves it! Everytime she eats she says mmmm! I love it!!

HaLlOwEeN

For Brooklyn's First Halloween she was a little Lion. An adorable one at that. For work I dressed up as Dorthy and Joey as a scare crow. I had to work on Halloween so Joey and Brooklyn went over to his parents house and did some trick or treating to a couple of houses in the ward! She had a good time playing with the candy! Next year will be a little more exciting! :)

Alyssa's Birthday

We celebrated Alyssa's birthday one night after work! Joey and Brookie were on party duty! They got us some sweet hats to wear and a Yummy Ice cream cake.

 Suprizingly Brooklyn didn't mind wearing the hat! She looked so cute in it! Can't wait until it's her birthday and she will be able to eat some cake! That'll be a fun time!

So happy birthday to Alyssa! Thanks for giving us a reason to eat Yummy Cake! :)

4 Months

 4 Months Old!

 Our little miss Brookie Sue is 4 months old!! She weighs 15 lbs 9 oz! She is the best little baby ever! She loves playing with her toys, singing, and dancing with dad! She loves bath time and will kick, splash and giggle the whole time! She really is a bundle of joy!

 Along with four months came CEREAL! At first she wasn't too sure of it, and made some pretty funny faces, but she has it down now and LOVES it! She is so stinkin smart! She helps me feed her, she is so aware of everything around her. She loves cups! She will take a cup and put it to her mouth and suck on the edges!

 She is still sleeping through the night, and we are about to move her to her crib! She loves her daddy, and boy can he make her giggle! She is growing up way to fast! We are sure enjoying every minute with her! I'll try to get the video of her eating uploaded soon! I'm sure there will be more pictures to come!!

 2011 HUNT

Well this year Joey Hunted and hunted and hunted!! He Hiked over 15 miles (over 3 day time) camped out, and spend many days up on the mountain! He got the opportunity to shoot at a pretty good size deer, but his gun didn't go off, his lever action got gummed up and wouldn't fire. He was pretty bummed about that, but then the next day right at dark, he shot this years deer. It wasn't as big as he hoped it would be, but he still got one! It's a two by three and still a pretty good size! Since he shot it right at dark, he had to go back the next day to find it after class. Well it was POURING rain! The blood trail was no longer there since it rained all night, so trying to find the deer was like finding a needle in a haystack. But he did it! He is such a great hunter! He loves it SOOO much!!

 We had been shopping around for a while to find some baby camo for Brooklyn, we finally found some and her cute headband to go with it! She looked so stinkin cute in it! Our first of many family photos with a deer!

Joey's mom and dad helped him search for his deer in the pouring rain! They are such good sports! It sure ment a lot to Joey having them there! It was indeed another successful hunting year! Joey did such a great job, and has such a passion for hunting! I'm glad he got a tag this year and was able to go! Last year was a hard year not having a tag! Here is to hoping he draws out again next year! So he can have a reason to do something he loves! :) Great job babe!! Sure do love you!!!
