Halloween!

They weren't kidding when they say kids make the Holidays more fun! It's the truth, last year Brookie didn't really know much about holidays. This year.... she gets into them. Makes me excited for Christmas!! :) She was the cutest little Bumble Bee this year! and a master at trick or treating! After we got home from the Trunk or treat we handed out candy for a bit and then took her to 4 houses in our neighborhood. At those 4 houses alone, she got 25 pieces of Candy.... if that doesn't say how good she was at it IDK what does! :)
Not only was she good at getting candy, she was so cute at passing the candy out and giving everyone lots! she did such a good job!
Every now and again she would sneak downstairs to try to get a piece of candy...... She was super quiet and we found her like this.... Tootsie roll in mouth (bit taken out and paper eaten) and two handfulls! Needless to say, she had plenty of tootsie rolls that night!
(Mother like Daughter I guess... See the chunck bitten out of the one in my mouth? Silly girl!)

Trunk or Treat

Joey's parents ward did a trunk or treat the night of Halloween, for some of the people out here that is the only trick or treaters they get cause the houses are pretty spread apart. I guess the advertised this trunk or treat in the news paper and it was way more than just 1 ward! There were sooo many kids! They had a huge line and most cars ran out of candy! Brookie LOVES trick or treating! She is pro! She held tight to her bucket all night and wanted to go around for more! Here is our sweet little Bumble Bee!
They had donuts and punch/hot chocolate afterwards! :) It was a fun stop. Just got us ready for the rest of the night!

Church Callings!

Joey and I finally recieved church callings in our Ward. It's been a couple of months, But starting in Novemeber my work schedule will be changing and I'm finally going to be able to attend all of church! I'm so looking forward to it!! I got called to be the Third Sunday Relief Society Teacher.

I'm really looking forward to it. I think it'll be good growth for me and will help me get over my fears of talking in front of people. Usually it's not bad, but when it's a subject I'm not completely confident in then I get super duper nervous, so i'm excited for that. Also for the greater knowledge I'll gain of gospel topics!
Joey got called to teach Primary! He will be teaching the 7-8 year olds. Those who will be getting Baptized. I'm so excited for him and for the example that he will set for this kids in helping them see the importance of getting baptized at this great time in their lives! He will do great with them!
Brookie will get to go to Nursery! She will be old enough in December, but will get to go a couple weeks early when I teach in November. So that will be a fun big step for her! She is just getting sooo big!!

Ward Trunk or Treat

Our ward did a Trunk or treat the week before Halloween. We went last minute with Mel and Bry's kids and they had a good time! The weather was super windy, so we hurried from car to car, then we went inside and had soup and rolls. It's fun to be part of a ward and be involved in the activities going on. I didn't realize how much I've missed it until being involved again. Our ward has been super great at making us feel welcome! It's a nice change from past wards we've been in!
Brookie and Brodie Loading up! What cuties!

Conference

Conference this year was great! A good spiritual upliftment for sure! Here are some of the things that were said that stood out to me. This year I had taken the time to sit down the week before conference and think about the things that I really wanted to get out of conference and to ask some questions that I was looking for the answers for.

Well I found them and what a comfort it is to recieve answer through the Prophets and apostles of our time! It's always a great reminder as well that our Heavenly Father is mindfull of all of us, and will answer our prayers and questions, and will give us the comfort we need.

I'm truly grateful to be a member of this church and for the constant reminders I have everyday of the many things I have been blessed with!

“Ask yourself, 'How did God bless me today?' If you do that long enough and with faith, you will find yourself remembering blessings. And sometimes, you will have gifts brought to your mind which you failed to notice during the day, but which you will then know were a touch of God’s hand in your life.” –Henry B. Eyring

Hopefully you enjoyed conference just as much as we did at our house, and felt the amazing spirit that comes with it every year! Can't wait to hear all the new messages in April!

VISITORS!!

We love it when we have Visitors! Lanae and her kids were the first in my family to come and visit our new place! It was fun having them come!! They got in around 6 Thursday night and we had Navajo Tacos and just scones with Honey Butter! Yummy! Gave them the tour of the house, talked and watched Cinderella and just had ourselves a good time. Nathan and Ruthie were determinded they were going to stay up all night, but I don't think they made it! We woke up the next morning and Nate really wanted to go up the canyon and go fishing so we did... It was super windy and cold, but they lasted about an hour! I was surprised!

After we got back they were such a big help! They helped clean up the yard, Nate mowed our lawn and we trimmed bushes and trees and it was soooo nice having their help! After we did a bit of yard work, we decided we wanted to be crafty, but the only place open was walmart, so we made the drive to Price and decided to go eat at JB's! It was yummy and while they were waiting all the kids were coloring including Brooklyn... when did she get so big??
We made it back to our place at like 10 and the kids were tired and ready for bed since they stayed up so late the night before... well apparently we were all so tired cause we all ended up falling asleep and not even crafting which was our whole point of going to price... lol But we still had an enjoyable time! I'll post a picture of what the craft project was going to be when it's finished! Lanae and the kids left about 8 the next morning! It was a fun time that went too fast! Thanks you for taking the time to come see us, for your help in the yard, and deciding where to hang pictures, and for the crafty inspiration!! :) LOVE YOU GUYS! :)
The finally finished wreath! :) Finished in time for Halloween!!
